There are procedures for outbound trailer inspections to assess their cleanliness and maintenance. The procedures include verifying trailers are free of trash or waste on trailer floor, have drain holes free of obstructions, have door seals intact, have ceiling and walls in good condition, without holes, cracks or panel separation, are free of insect/rodent infestation, are free of offensive odors and are free of evidence of cross contamination, such as blood/fresh meat spillage from prior trailer loads, chemicals or evidence of chemicals.
