The school director hopes that Bow can be invited to USA by friendly school one town from here, and transfer to CCS. We have not heard back yet.
Plan B
would be to get training at a local college in that same town. I am enclosing the entrance application to show some issues to overcome in order to be accepted, and more.
1st) TOEFL or IELTS tests must be taken with scores shown as I have highlighted in yellow on the form.
2) Texas law requires international students that arrive to take reading, writing, and math placement tests. Any portion not passed means the student must take remedial courses (make up courses) in order to go on in those areas of regular courses.
#1 is a deal breaker, come or not come
#2 just means basics that should have been learned in high school have to be taken and passed in college.
Plan C has the least advantage for Bow, but is also the least costly.
summer work/travel and work at resort near us where they have come to love Thai students, the hiring manager is a Christian friend, and the housekeeping supervisor is a Hispanic friend as well. Bow might live with us (50km commute) or live with a friend of ours for 4 nights a week at the lake.
I bring this up to show you, Bow, there is much more to do to be successful!!! Learn, and BY ALL MEANS, GET HELP TO LEARN THE MATH THAT YOU SHOULD KNOW AS A HIGH SCHOOL SENIOR.
As Tony says, head up, chin out, arms back, smile....:)
On out shopping for Thai food for our Vacation Bible School.
