The dry weight showed significant differences between the shortterm cold stress and the control culture conditions (Fig. 1 A, P <0.05). The results demonstrated that the dry weight of Arthrospira strain TJSD091 was 9.60 % lower within 6 h of exposure to cold stress temperature, and 14.23 % within 12 h than that of the control group. A similar reduction in the cold stress group was observed with 12.80 % at 24th h and 13.40 % at 48th h, respectively, thereby suggesting poor growth under short-term cold stress of 15 ◦C.
