All around the globe someone is leaving trails for you to follow in the form of USB Dead Drops. Dead Drops is an offline, peer to peer file sharing platform, initiated by Berlin-based media artist Aram Bartholl. These USB sticks are anywhere to find. You can find them hidden in the walls, down the curb or stuck somewhere in the cement ruins.
The project was his initiated five years back and it spread across the globe like wildfire.. The idea was to let people share anything and everything they wanted to share with people anonymously. Recently Aram has updated the Dead Drop database, where you can find the location and pictures of dead drops near you.
People all over the world have participated and installed dead drops near them for the people to share stuff. Aram invites people to send location and pictures as to where they have been installed. You can post them on his website. Also, below is a video that gives information about how to install them.
