2.8. Test for Glycoside. Extract was mixed with 2mL of glacial acetic acid containing 2 drops of 2% FeCl3. The mixture was poured into another tube containing 2mL of concentrated sulfuric acid. A brown ring at the interphase indicates the presence of glycosides (Figure 2(e)).
