I would like to inquire on the legality to introduce a Performance Improvement Program (PIP) to staffs that is not performing.
This program is specifically structured with a employer-employee mutually agreed revised "easier" KPI that employee must meet. During the program, extra attention will be given to the staff to help improve / recover his/her performance. However, shall the staff still fail to meet the easier KPI, the staff will be terminated due to poor performance.
This PIP is currently being exercised in Malaysia and it is legal. I would like to know if it is the same in Thailand.
Appreciate your advise on the matter above.
