(d) Special Leave: in compliance with applicable Cambodian law, the Employee shall be entitled to up to seven (7) working days of special leave per year. In serious circumstances, special leave can be applied for personal reasons affecting the employee and employee’s immediate family members, such as his/her wedding, the birth of a child, the wedding of his/her son or daughter or the illness/death of a spouse, child, parent or parent-in-law. Special leave shall be deducted from available annual leave. If no annual leave is available, special leave will be permitted and the time off can be made-up in accordance with the Labor Law and relevant regulations. Special leave may not be carried forward from one year to the next year.
Employee must provide evidence that special circumstances exist, as described above, when submitting their application for special leave.
