Why does Lou Yulie warn everyone not to be suspicious, fearful, or pessimistic. This confidence and its power are crucial to the body’s health. What is health in the eyes of this guest? “Jian” means strong and robust. What is “kang”? “Kang” is peace and calmness. Let’s invite Mr. Lou to come to the front to answer a few questions put forward by the audience on site. Ok, let’s welcome. In the textbooks of key universities there aren’t more than 30 lines about the philosophical thought in TCM. Regarding this aspect of TCM, there are even deeper things where we use philosophical thought from a variety of fields to treat disease, including in the Yin and Yung and five elements, things that aren’t written in books. I hope that I have the opportunity to learn from you. I couldn’t presume to teach other. I can tell everyone that we are currently looking into establishing a TCM philosophy research committee. Currently, we are talking with some scholars about writing a textbook about “philosophy in Traditional Chinese Medicine”. However, in TCM, I think that healthy living still needs to be better promoted. Live a healthy life in a humanistic way, like using ancient phrases like “those who are benevolent can enjoy longevity”. As for why those who are benevolent can enjoy longevity, why those who are benevolent can enjoy longevity, since they don’t think about themselves day and night, they are very big-hearted, and care about others. I’d recommend to the audience members that if you want to understand TCM, you should definitely read the “Fang Ji Lue” chapter of the “Records of Art and Literature” chapter in the “Book of Han”. It is a summary of the medical texts which were passed on to the Han Dynasty. It is divided into four categories, one is called the “Classic of Medicine” which talks about the theories of medicine and principles. One is called “classic Prescriptions” which talks about how to use herbal medicine. The third is “Behind Closed Doors” and the fourth is “Immortals”. They were split into four categories. As for what “Immortals” talked about it was to make you break through the barriers of life and death, and simultaneously hope for both. With life comes death. Why are we afraid of death? Because we are greedy with life. The reason we are greedy with life is because we are afraid of death, so we are greedy. If you think of life and death as very normal, then life and death are the same. With life comes death, and death is normal and life is normal. So, the deepness of your thinking, your philosophic theory would be masterful. So, what this also tells us is that TCM includes the issue of physiology, psychology, and philosophy, so it proposed a physiological idea. Not treating disease is the same as being treated by a medium-class physician. That’s probably the earliest idea in TCM. How should we interpreter that sentence? What is the spirit of TCM? The spirit of TCM is not treating diseases. What do you treat if you don’t treat diseases? You don’t treat diseases. You don’t treat diseases, which are already contracted, which haven’t been contracted yet. Not treating disease is the same as being treated by a medium-class physician. A more important sentence came from a scholar named Qian Dazhao, from the Qing Dynasty. How did he work? “Those who don’t take medicine are practitioners of Chinese Medicine”.
