Don't want to hear that the squad is good enough to win the title. Chelsea won it easily and they've brought in Falcao and Pedro among others. City finished ahead of us and they've spent 150 million euro. Why should fans buy any merchandise or go to the games when the club doesn't appear to have any intention of putting money into the squad to compete at the top level, which is what a club like Arsenal is supposed to be doing. If the club had secured a top striker and central defensive midfield they would have been real title contenders this season. Now you've got Wenger saying to the press that we can't compete because UEFA is rolling back the Financial Fair Play Rules, which obviously don't exist given the moves that City have made in the transfer window. What message does that send to our players and to potential purchases when you say we can't compete? Ozil and Sanchez will probably be gone at the end of the season. Good stuff. Cesc/RVP/Nasri era all over again, except now they can't blame it on paying off the stadia.
