Melbourne-based company, Metro Vic Transport, has taken delivery of a new set of trailers built by Australian Trailer Manufacturers (ATM).
According to Metro Vic Transport, the order of three Isuzu bogey tilts, two twin-steer tilt trays fitted to two Kenworth trucks, and one tri-axle drop deck low loader, will assist its daily operatio, which specialises in heavy-duty equipment transport such as earthmoving equipment and commercial road vehicles.
“We have a diverse list of clients with different requirements for transport and that list has steadily grown in recent years to more than 50 major clients,” said Stan Murphy, Managing Director of Metro Vic Transport. “A lot of what we do at the moment involves same day service, which is why we decided to increase our fleet numbers to accommodate the demand.”
To ensure a smooth ride and safe approach angles for loading and unloading equipment, each trailer was fitted with TMC axles and heavy-duty airbag suspension. “The components ATM uses ensures that all trailers can handle diverse equipment in different environments,” Murphy said.
