Dear Customer,
Like many other major Container Carriers have done, CMA CGM Thailand will centralise a part of the
Export Documentation activities to our Shared Service Centre (SSC) in India.
This move will allow us to improve the services to you, our valued customers, as well as to
standardise our work processes and flows.
CMA CGM is already successfully operating Shared service centres over years.
The SSC for Documentation has been built last year; it currently handles more than 65.000 Bills of
Lading monthly for European agencies. It operates on a 24/5 basis.
The move concerns the preparation of draft Bills of Lading and certificates as well as Customs filings
at destination (AMS/ACI etc.).
CMA CGM offices in Thailand will continue to provide you with all Sales and Customer Service
activities as before. Your entry points in our agencies will therefore not change.
Bs/L and Certificates will continue to be printed and posted from the CMA CGM Thailand office.
In order to support this change, we kindly ask you to use English language when communicating in
writing. This also includes your Shipping instructions/ Certificate requests and modification requests.
As part of this move we have established a Shipping instruction chaser process with SSC. You may
therefore receive chaser messages from our colleagues in the SSC, if we have not received your SI’s
before the documentation closing time.
Our colleagues in the SSC will submit you timely draft Bills of Lading/ Certificates, usually via e-mail
attachment. Please do verify the draft versions and revert with either your validation or modification
request to the sender of the message within 48 hours after receipt. This will allow us to ensure that
the final version of your documents will comply with your instructions.
