Medical Travel Can Create Problems
1. Should all resident of Thailand have access to treatment at private hospital like Buumrungrad?
Yes because this hospital have good health conditions, and like the foreign people the residents should have the same rights to have access to the better health service.
2. If you were a doctor in Thailand or India, would you work at a public hospital? Why or why not?
Yes I would, because I think that it is important to take care of people with less money. In my opinion this is more important than to get a lot of money in a private hospital, because for a doctor taking care of health should come first.
1. After hearing both reports, has your opinion of medical tourism changed? Do you think hospitals in places like Thailand and India try to attract medical tourism?
I think that the medical tourism is only a benefit to the people or to the government from the country. Yes I think that hospitals in these countries try to attract medical tourism, because they try to be better in the health system, but they do with the money that they could use in other things that are very important for the resident people, like inverting in medical products for the country.
2. Some people believe that doctors and hospitals have an obligation to provide service to the poor. In your opinion, what other professions and facilities have an obligation to serve the poor?
I think that people with more power, influential people; like politician, lawyers, or social assistents. And in the other hand the teachers and dentists also have some obligation to serve the poor.
