•Trichothecene is one of the most notorious mycotoxins because trichothecenes are extremely toxic and because they are so difficult to destroy
•The toxic mold Fusarium also produces trichothecenes. People can end up ingesting trichothecene mycotoxins when Fusarium grows on grains such as maize, oats and wheat.
•There are 60 known types of trichothecene mycotoxins: Deoxynivalenol, Diacetoxyscirpenol,Neosolaniol
•Symptoms: Dry eyes, Vomiting, Diarrhea, Abdominal pain, Mental impairment, Rash, Bleeding
