It is vital that the children have attitudes of searching for the premise and thinking based on the assumption, and they are able to flexibly utilize previously leaned knowledge and ideas in this way; however, these capabilities and attitudes cannot be easily cultivated. The teacher must find opportunities for the children to take advantage of the laws of division. Such teaching and learning should be supported by meticulous teaching materials research carried out from the perspective of considerations regarding such aspects as which principles and rules are necessary to base ideas on, and how far they should be developed. The teacher must continue asking questions, what is the premise? More conductive attitudes will be formed as a result of this process.
