First, the number of government contacts is positively
correlated to QGAP continued participation, implying that a
good follow-up by trainers and extension officerswas the key in
obtaining positive benefits from participation. Second, rice
training attendance was positively and significantly related to
continued participation. This trend confirms our hypothesis
that farmers who did not adopt were adequately informed
about the program requirements and made an informed
decision not to adopt, while thosewho had the correct structure
and incentive to do so did adopt and benefitted from the rice
training information.
