Diesel engines are widely used for different application in industrial power plants, transportation, agriculture etc. Despite these advantages, the environmental pollution caused by diesel engines becomes a major concern throughout the world. Diesel engines produce smoke, particulate matter, oxides of nitrogen (NOX), oxides of carbon (CO & CO2) and unburnt hydrocarbon. Several alternative fuels have been studied to either substitute diesel fuel partially or completely. Vegetable oils are
proposed to be promising alternatives to diesel, as they are produced in rural areas. The oil produced from seeds can provide self employment opportunities
