Standard 3.1.1 - Interpretation and Application
This Standard:
defines the terms that are used in the food safety standards including ‘food business’, ‘food premises’, ‘food proprietor’, ‘safe food’ and ‘suitable food'
specifies that the food safety standards apply to food business in Australia but not in New Zealand
specifies that food businesses must comply with all the requirements of the food safety standards with the exception of those that apply to food handlers
specifies that food handlers must comply with the requirements that apply to them.
