COURSE APPROACH:
This course relies on a lecture format which requires students to take notes, as well as a seminar format for which requires students to actively participate in class discussions.
Thai, Asean Economic Community cultures, and Western culture issues will be discussed and compared in this course, including many facets of nonverbal language, pragmatic politeness, humor, appropriateness, misunderstandings and taboos.
Besides obtaining a better understanding of the diversity of multiculturalism, through small groups and class discussions, improving English skills is inevitable.
Rather than quantity, emphasis is on quality! The course material and assessment are subject to change to meet the needs of the students. As a result, the instructor, at her or his discretion, may alter the course schema to attend to these problems.
