Recognized as one of Pennsylvania’s 10 most haunted houses, the Brinton Lodge has long been inhabited by a number of
spirits.
Located in Douglassville, PA, in the suburbs of Philadelphia, the Brinton Lodge's storied history begins in the 18th
century. Its earliest incarnation was a small farmhouse, but subsequent owners had bigger visions. In the 1800s, it was
expanded into an opulent 28-room summer home. In the 1920s, during Prohibition, it was an exclusive gentleman's club.
Years later, it operated as a well-known restaurant.
Until recently, this local landmark sat dark and abandoned. Empty, except for the spirits.
The well-documented hauntings at the Lodge identify at least five spirits: Dapper Dan, Caleb Brinton, an older woman
believed to be Caleb's mother, a "lady in white," and a young girl. Visiting mediums have also felt that the site is a portal
(or a passageway) between this world and the Other Side. Previous owners have reported apparitions, disembodied
footsteps, displaced objects, and more.
EMF meters are provided for you to attempt contact with the ghosts of the Lodge. Please note: many guests have used
ghost hunting apps on their smart phones during the tour with great success.
