The intensity of exercise was assessed by Borg’s Rating of Perceived Exertion (RPE) Scale, ranging from 6 [being very, very light (e.g., rest)] to 20 (being exhausted). Moderate exercise refers to physical activity up to moderate intensity (RPE 11– 13 and 3.0–6.0 METs [30]) performed in the past one week. The duration of moderate exercise (minutes/week) was measured based on the patients’ verbal report and the log book at each time point.
