The communication and media scene in India also continues to boom from the early 1990’s aided by consumer demand rising GDP technological advances privatization and a global outlook. Changes in government regulations have made possible a lot of technological leapfrogging especially in the areas of telecom Internet satellite and cable television. Global projection have projected India as a key player in the future global economy. While this needs to be appreciated care also needs to be taken to address the needs of the majority poor in the rural and urban areas of modern India.
