with inaccurate use of terms such as ‘memory’
(specifying what ‘forgetting’ is and detailing
autobiographical, retrograde, anterograde and
working memory), ‘cognition’, ‘dysfunction’, ‘short
term’ and ‘loss’, and tease out their meaning, urging
clinicians not to use blanket terminology when
describing their clients’ symptoms related to ECT.
