A survey was conducted on Hong Kong-based companies. Data were collected and
analyzed by SPSS. Based on the statistical results obtained, implications were suggested to help companies implement reverse logistics. Reverse logistics is easier to implement if the size of the company is large, that is, with more than 50 employees. Facilitating factors –namely, the company’s financial support, the company’s resource support, the company’s human resource support, and cooperation and relationship with business partners – have either a positive or a negative significant influence on reverse logistics implementation. Therefore, companies that would like to implement reverse logistics should also consider theabove factors, which may bring different effects to the implementation result. However, thisresearch was conducted only in Hong Kong, and only major dimensions and factors were included. Future studies should be conducted in other countries. More dimensions and factors should also be included to understand better the development and need for reverse logistics implementation.
