Under the policy to support and upgrade the standard of Otop herbal products, the ministry's Development of Thai Traditional and Alternative Medicine Department has been granted 10 million baht for the project.
"Thai herbal products have to improve their quality and packaging to reach out to a bigger market," said department director-general Thawatchai Kamoltham.
The department held a two-day seminar on herbal products at Ramada Plaza Menam Riverside hotel in Bangkok this week. Entrepreneurs received knowledge from experts about product registration, design and how to improve quality for competing in the global market.
