Singapore organized a joint conference on "Transforming Public Sector Leadership Programme - Building Partnership for the New Millennium" from 24-28 April 2000 for ASEAN and East Asian countries. Recently, the International Forum for Public Sector Leadership 2001: Recruitment, Retention, and Learning were held in cooperation with the Canadian Center on Management Development and the Institute of Policy Development. Singapore also plays an active role in developing an "Open Academy" to facilitate e-learning to customize the public service specific programs and international participants.
