ONLINE APPLICATION SYSTEM TROUBLESHOOTING
This page provides advice for solving some common technical issues users have experienced with our online application. If you have additional questions after reviewing this page, please contact your program officer.
1. I am attempting to log into my account, but my username doesn’t work.
• On the log in screen, click “Forgot password?” enter your email address, and then click “Send password.”
• You will receive a temporary password by email. Click on the link in the email to log into your account with that password. You will then be prompted to change your password.
• After you change your password, you will receive another email confirming the change. Please remember your new password and use it to log back into your account.
• If you do not receive a confirmation email, check in your spam folder to see if you have received an email from mail@grantapplication.com.
2. I am trying to access my saved online application, but the system is not letting me move past the eligibility quiz. Although I am not a new applicant and I answered “yes” to the eligibility question, the system gives me the following error message: “This session has timed out.”
• Click here to access your saved application.
• Log in using your username and password to access the application page.
• You will see a list of every version of the application that you have saved. Click on the most recent version of the application. If there is more than one application, click on the one at the bottom of the list, which is the most recent version.
3. The system keeps timing out, while I’m trying to complete my application.
• If the application is not saved within two hours, you will be automatically logged out of the online application system.
• To prevent data loss, please save frequently and/or compose a draft of your application using the Word version of the online application form, which can be accessed on the application instructions page.
• To access your saved application, please use the steps above.
4. I submitted my application, but my program officer says he or she did not receive it.
• Please verify that you have submitted your application by going to the last page of your online application and clicking the “Submit” button.
• After submitting your application, you will receive a confirmation email which includes a copy of your completed application in the email.
• Upon successful submission of your application, a copy will be automatically sent to your program officer.
5. I already submitted my application, but I would now like to make changes or upload an attachment.
• After you have submitted your application, you cannot go back into the system and edit your application or upload attachments.
• If you need to make changes or upload attachments after you submit your application, please email the changes or attachments to your program officer.
