resolutions of these compounds from sample matrix components
achieved by the new method as demonstrated in Fig. S6 in Supplementary
data: the matrix interfering peaks are well resolved
from phenol peak by the new method; while the matrix peaks
(right shoulder) are overlapped with phenol peak by the traditional
method and thus lead to higher phenol result. The results
obtained by the two HPLC methods are in good agreement with
those historical values obtained and collected in the past few years
by the HC methods
