in protein C activity with 10 mg was believed to
produce a hypercoagulable state.7 Given the small sample
size, short duration of follow-up, and lack of comparison
of baseline characteristics, it is difficult to apply these results
clinically. Additionally, the dosing ranges used in the nomogram
may have led to considerable variation in warfarin
dosing after day 1, which could have influenced the results.
