Our body is one complex machine and like every other machine, it needs fuel in order to work! Oxygen is the main fuel that keeps us active!
When we exercise our body wants up to 15% more oxygen so we need to breathe deeper pulling in more air and faster replacing the air more often. The next thing we need is distributing the inhaled oxygen within the organism. This is why our heart is pumping faster and deeper or in other words our heart rate and stroke volume increases.
While exercising our heart manages to double the amount of blood it pumps around the body. This blood is caring oxygen from our lungs to the mussels so they can work harder. Our mussels consume 80 % of the blood flow during exercise and only 10 % while sitting.
So after sitting down to watch this video you should reward your body with some exercise!
