• Holland. Holland has several strong university programs in logistics and supply
chain management. However, in line with the country’s emphasis on logistics, it
established in 2010 The Dutch Institute for Advanced Logistics (Dinalog).
Dinalog’s mission is to coordinate the Dutch Research and Development
Program for Logistics and Supply Chain Management. Dinalog is envisioned as
the (physical and virtual) place where the private sector will cooperate with
Universities on tackling logistics challenges and developing technology and
processes to enhance the country’s efficiency. Dinalog is a cornerstone in the
Dutch ambition to propel Holland, by 2020, to a leadership position in
controlling flows of goods passing through Europe.
