In conclusion, this study showed that BTH treatment, not only produced higher antioxidant capacity and antioxidant enzyme activity in strawberry fruit, but also induced SAR against microbiological infection. BTH might enhance the resistance of tissues to decay by heightening their antioxidant systems and free radical-scavenging capabilities. Thus, BTH, as a postharvest treatment, can be beneficial in terms of reducing decay and maintaining a high-quality product in harvested strawberry fruit.
