Hello,
If what Beef Sticks suggested didn't work, please try backing up and removing this folder completely: DocumentsElectronic ArtsThe Sims 3
And since I love to keep drivers up-to-date, try downloading and installing this driver for your graphic card (For Windows 64-bit):
During the installation, choose "Custom" and "Clean installation". Don't forget to restart your PC afterwards.
Drivers updated, makes no difference. Then i tried to switch to the second graphics card which this laptop has, intel HD graphics, just to be sure, but it does the same thing.
Anyway thank you both.
