Two types of polymer conditioned fertilizers, with slow release of active
compounds, were synthesized and characterized. The products have been obtained
in solid form, through a crosslinking impregnation method. The influence of pH and
temperature on the activity index was investigated in order to reach an optimization
of the process. Also, the capacity of said polymers to form core-shell structures in
the monitored conditions was investigated. The products were characterized using
modern techniques, as Fourier transform infrared microscopy, 1H-NMR or scanning
electron microscopy.
