Dear all,
I wanted to drop you a quick note as a reminder that we only have a few days left to complete our 2014 appraisals on the HR system (the deadline is this Friday, 27th February).
Why is this important? I can think of 3 big reasons:
1) Broadly-speaking, performance management is one of the most important ongoing programs for the business because it helps align, measure and reward the performance of all staff. That’s why we’ve been putting so much emphasis on it in the last 2 years.
2) From a timeline perspective, HR needs all final performance ratings by early March to be able to do the preparatory work and secure approvals for the 2014 Annual Bonus payout.
3) Specific to this year, it’s important for us to properly document and rate 2014 performance for all employees because we may potentially become part of the Telstra group in future. If that does happen, these performance appraisal and rating records will become the default reference point for future managers to gauge our individual achievements, strengths and career aspirations.
So please ensure that you are on track to complete this in a timely manner. If your appraisal is pending action by your manager, please take the initiative to remind them. If you’re facing any difficulty with the process or the system, please contact the HR team. Thanks for your time and attention as always.
