Tapanee Nakorntap and Prapasri Seehaampai (1977 : 9-10) divides the
process of listening into five stages as follow.
1) Memorizing and understanding is the stage of recognize and
understand details after listening.
2) Comprehending is the stage of classification unimportant detail from
the story.
3) Evaluating is the stage of consideration, meditation and evaluation
the value of details which are listened.
4) Gathering is the stage of listeners collecting the knowledge from
listening to gather, which need more concentration on listening.
5) Summarizing is the level of concluding the idea and the important
detail.
