This is the view inside our bin. The sweep auger is in place. Our 42′ bins require a 21′ sweep. You can see the motor in the center of the bin mounted on the end of the sweep auger. There is a short pin protruding from the bottom of that end of the sweep auger frame which is inserted in a bracket in the floor. This allows the center to pivot as the auger sweeps its way through the grain. Jason has already followed the sweep about 1/3 of the way around the bin. The auger removes all but an inch or two of grain. His job is to scoop up this remaining corn and broom the bin floor clean.
