Let me start by saying that my son was so excited the day the robot arrived. Once he opened the box we were both in awe. Pieces, pieces and more pieces. The box comes with everything you need. Ok, my son is 12 years old and has ton of experience building bigger Lego sets so he was not afraid of the challenge on the horizon. Everything in the box was separated into different parts. The bag full of screws was a little intimidating but he dove right in. He spent about 8-10 hours over the course of three days putting everything together. I didn't have to assist him during the construction but this would be a bit much for a younger child without the help of an adult. Once it was all constructed we were both ready to give it a try. All I can say is this is one impressive robot. He will reach his hand out to walk with you and can walk in different directions on command. His feet have wheels on the bottom of his feet and will move much smoother on hard floors than on carpet. He will give you a high five, tell you jokes, and even the tell you the time. There's nothing that's difficult to program or figure out. The robot has color coded buttons on his chest for different commands/actions. His eyes change colors upon different commands so you're aware of when to proceed to the next action. There is also a free app that you can download for any smart device to program additional sounds and movements. The robot is very sturdy and is approximately 4' tall. The only thing that I've found to be a littly trickly is the microphone that picks up your voice commands. You have to ensure that you speak clearly and are in close proximity. We are very excited when we have visitors so we can show off the new addition to our family.
