A group of IBC staffs, professors and lecturers visited the Jim Thompson Farm on Dec 20, 2014, which is located in Pak Thong Chai district. The farm was established on an area of over 600 acres on a hillside Phraya Prab district which is 20 to 30 kilometers away from IBC. The opportunity for Pak Thong Chai people as well as IBC students is that, there is a local bus which directly goes from Pak Thong Chai to Jim Thompson Farm which only costs 30 Baht.
Sangha members do not need to make any payment for entrance fee. Foreign visitors pay the same price as the locals. Plenty to see and do. Beautiful flowers all over the area that is open for visitors. Put aside a few hours for the visit if you plan to go there. There are 5 stops along the way on the farm and a shuttle service is provided at regular intervals, free of charge. Unfortunately the farm is only open to the public for one month every year. This year open daily from Saturday 13 December 2014 through Sunday 11 January 2015 from 9.00 am until 5.00 pm.
