If we do this work artfully, we can offer a space in the regimented
and programmed life of community members with opportunities
to be welcomed, received and listened to. In Australia, we can get
hundreds of people to a workshop once word gets out that the
processes are fun, relevant and interactive, the food is good, we as
consultants are trustworthy and that they, as participants, will be
listened to, their views will be taken into account and, in the end,
the results will benefit them.
