The other is dynamic (or kinetic) adaptation, where the anticipated proprioception is altered by having participants move their limb through an opposing force field.
The fundamental difference between the two types of adaptation is how the sensory feedback is provided: kinematic adaptation mainly relies on visual or auditory feedback whereas dynamic adaption mainly relies on proprioception (muscular force).
