Doctors treating actor Trisadee "Por" Sahawong say there are no longer any traces of dengue in his system, but complications are severe enough to force the amputation of his left foot yesterday.

Doctors have amputated actor Trisadee "Por" Sahawong's left foot to contain a severeinfection. Ramathibodi Hospital said yesterday the doctors performed the amputation on Saturday. Por, who was admitted to Ramathibodi Hospital on Nov 9 with dengue fever, also underwent surgery to stop internal bleeding of his left pleural cavity. The hospital said the actor's blood pressure is stabilising and so are his liver andkidney functions which were affected by the infection. The actor remains on life support and he has also been administered a musclerelaxant drug to help his breathing. Por is also still being administered with blood pressure stimulant medication as well as antibiotics and kidney dialysis. The doctors confirmed there is no longer any trace of dengue in the actor's system. He remains in the critical care unit at the hospital.
