Future research should further investigate major factors to enhance the middle school
nanoliteracy education strategies in order to build up informed and critical citizenship.
Society currently faces a range of socio-scientific issues such as genetically modified
organisms, cloning, and nuclear power generation. Indeed, nanotechnologies can be considered
as a socioscientific issue. For example nanoparticles toxicity remains largely
unknown and its societal and ethical interactions need to be known and understood.
