Rujirayanyong and Shi [18] presented a Project-oriented DW
(PDW) for contractors' company-level data facility, providing a robust
tool for collecting, storing, and utilizing historical construction project
data. The quality data available in the PDW could provide useful information
for conducting in-depth business analyses or data mining
studies.
Moon et al. [16] developed a Cost Data Management System
(CDMS) in a DWenvironment to improve the effectiveness of utilizing
historical cost data. A probability model was established to analyze the
DW. The CDMS showed that theDWcould help people understand the
uncertainties in construction cost estimation, and provide a method
for more reliable construction cost budget planning.
Tseng et al. [15] proposed an information model and a system
based on a spatiotemporal DW to help public road authorities lessen
traffic disruptions and increase the pavement lifespan and quality. It
showed that the proposed spatiotemporal DW was beneficial to facilitating
the utility coordination process between public road authorities
and utility owners.
