10% of your final grade
Write 10 Compound Sentences about the People, Animals, Places and Objects in your life.

HOW YOUR WORK WILL BE GRADED:


A.) Each sentence should be 100% grammatically accurate: Capitalization, spelling, articles, prepositions, conjugation, punctuation etc.

B.) Each sentence must make sense. You must use the correct coordinator.

C.) Each sentence must have a different subject - My mum, my computer etc.

D.) A different verb must be used in each compound sentence. However, you may use the same verb twice in one single compound sentence.

E.) Students must use FANBOYS once (in 7 sentences), then choose three of the coordinators to use for a second time.

F.) Students can use any of the 4 tenses we are studying this semester: Present Simple and Continuous; Past Simple and Continuous. No other tenses are to be used.

G.) The total mark shall be out of 50: 5 points are possible for each sentence. 1 point shall be deducted for each mistake.

H.) Any sentences which appear to resemble internet material will be checked. Plagiarism will always result in . . . guess what? ZERO! But none of you are even thinking of doing that!

I.) Please type your work in Word!

Deadline – Sec 07/03 - Second class in week 14: Weds 12th Nov.
Sec 10/14 – by Fri 14th Nov, 6pm. Ajarn box, by Office.
All sections have two weeks to complete the assignment!
Submission – Anything late will lose marks (7% per day).
To avoid problems, do not leave it to the last minute: GOOD LUCK!
