Silkworm is one of important economic insects. Whether in
ancient or modern agriculture, sericulture occupies an important
position in China. A major economic concern in the rearing of
mulberry silkworm, for commercial production of silk is infection
by the BmNPV. There are currently no therapeutic agents that can
effectively control BmNPV infection. Prevention of infection by
more sanitized approaches in insect rearing is the only solution
currently available. The control of disease is often met with limited
success, and thus the early-stage detection and identification of
BmNPV plays important in preventing the spread of diseases and
thereby ensuring safe and sustainable sericulture.
In this study, LAMP diagnostic method targeting the sequence of
the BmNPV gp41 genewas successfully developed for the detection
