Around trail points, preferred fruits of hornbills were more abundant in
the breeding compared to non-breeding seasons which is probably why 46 rufous-necked
hornbills were recorded one breeding season and 29 individuals were recorded two non-breeding
seasons.
So there could have been not enough food for rufous-necked hornbills in the nonbreeding
season. Of all detections twenty-one records were direct observations (Table 2).
