Despite the challenges and potential barriers to using
simulation in pharmacy education, there are many advan-tages including better achievement of learning outcomes,
high levels of participant engagement and satisfaction,
and compliance with overarching standards of pharmacy
education. Simulation offers a unique learning medium to
explore additional areas of need such as interprofessional
education through multidisciplinary problem solving, cul-tural sensitivity training through practice with simulated
