Artificial emotion is the bridge that connects the inward
state and outward environment of artificial fish. As Fig.1
shows, in traditional artificial learning framework, artificial
fish does not provide their inner information when interacting
with the external environment. However, the external
environment delivers feedbacks. We usually tacitly assume that
the internal states remain in ideal conditions all the time. But in
the learning framework incorporating artificial emotion as
shown in Fig.2, artificial fish make their own behavioral
decisions based on two factors, the external environmental
information and the inner emotional conditions stimulated by
the environment.
