In summary, both measured and modeled CP air concentrations
showed maximal levels during application nights that dropped
during following days. Secondary drift continued to cause elevated
air concentrations for more than 48 h after application. At distance
of 74 m from orchard edge measured air concentrations during
application were high relative to previous reports. This is in part
because beforehand knowledge of application time enabled
matching sampling duration to application hours. In addition,
relatively warm and dry conditions of this Mediterranean area, may
also enhance drift. Although measured air concentrations suggest
exposure levels below WHO regulations for total CP exposure, they
were well above the Texas ESL, both during application night and
the following 48 h
