From the Tilman’s paper, describe how ethics can help and sustain biodiversity.Humans among other living organisms are trading off with nature for survival but they dominated the global ecosystem, thus facing a tough trade off. The trade-off is between the current benefits and the future cost of environmental damage. There are some developments that help human to prosper which caused more damage to the biodiversity. Ethics should apportion the costs and benefits between individuals and society. It should also consider the effect on exploitation of biodiversity of the current generation and how will it affect the future generations. Ethics should be incorporated in our culture and act as the conscience of human population in the exploration of biodiversity, thus sustaining other living things.
